The jean is relaxed through the thigh and tapered through the leg, with a mid-rise and button fly. It’s perfect for that slimmer silhouette, without having skin tight thighs.

So, why selvage? In short, they’re more durable and if in a dark, raw denim can become more personalised than other jeans. Selvage, from the French ‘Self-Edge’, refers to the narrow, tightly woven band on the jean – Edwin are using a ‘Rainbow’ on this pair. Old shuttle looms are used to produce this effect, giving the hem a clean, finished look. This means it is far less prone to fraying.
